Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, the Mexican American broadcaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the time she turned nine. The ability that allowed her to get her first position as a Univision Production Assistant in Miami. She worked with the producers of National shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Following this it was announced that the CBS affiliate of St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. She moved in 2009 to Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become a news reporter for the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Reporting on stories about the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the border, she worked as a reporter for five minutes of the p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor, reporter and later anchor for news at 9 p.m. news in English and also a reporter again for 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. The station also frequently asked her to serve as anchors for the weather and sports. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on more responsibility. She covered the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and the NBA Postseason and the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. She was promoted to sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. Also, she was anchor of the sports segment on Primer Impacto, a magazine program that airs on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. At some point they relocated from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. There is an older sister. The family moved into Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. After a short time, her father split from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. The couple stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer and was given an opportunity to work. Antonietta was a senior high school student, but she had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. At the end of the day she was enthralled with the university. They also offered her a major. Following the completion of her high school education she enrolled in the university to study media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the manager of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was an affiliate. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her by his love of journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
